Dr John Barlow is a general practitioner with a special interest in skin and minor surgery, diabetes, chronic disease management, geriatrics and work-related medicine, and is excited to be part of Advanced Health Medical Centre's team of Bankstown doctors.
Having worked as a GP for over 40 years in the Bankstown area, Dr Barlow uses his experience, social manner, and love for teaching to treat his patients, educate young doctors, and delivering positive outcomes.
Dr John Barlow is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), and the Australian Medical Association (AMA), and with an interest in special interest groups for diabetes. It was together with one of these groups, that Dr Barlow and his colleagues were awarded the PRIME award for their role in educating over 5000 Australian GPs at an insulin leadership summit.
Dr Barlow is an avid family man and sportsman, spending time away from the practice with his family and five grandchildren, travelling, skiing, and enjoying a round of golf.
Dr John Barlow is a valuable member of the Advanced Health Medical team, and would love to give back to the community, volunteering his services locally, and abroad.
